Derbyshire Wildlife Trust and Nestlé Waters are delighted to announce they are working in partnership for a fourth year to support the Get Better With Nature programme.

The initiative aims to promote understanding of the value of nature and the benefits it can have on our health and wellbeing. As well as inspiring local communities to participate in protecting nature and promoting biodiversity in their own, local environments.

This year sees even more additions to the activity programme – the team will be bringing Nature Tots to Buxton for the first time, hosted in the Buxton Pavilion. They will also be working with Peak District National Park Authority to continue the Junior Ranger programme, designed to inspire and involve local children and they will also work with partners to establish a long-term White Peak partnership programme with the aim of restoring and preserving landscapes and promoting water stewardship.

The project is a collaborative partnership and this next stage has benefited from funding worth £27,000 from Nestlé Waters.

Hayley Lloyd-House, Head of Communications and External Affairs at Nestlé Waters said: “We are thrilled to support the Get Better with Nature programme for a fourth year and we are inviting the whole community to get involved with these great events. Getting involved not only helps raise awareness and understanding of nature and the local environment, but promotes personal wellbeing too.”
