So, stick with us on this one - but it has been proven that watching nature documentaries boosts your mood, so if you are currently in self-isolation, why not put our beloved David Attenborough on the television and delve into nature documentaries at their best?  

We don't want to be bias, so we've put together a list of nature themed documentaries and films below which you can stream and become absorbed in - we hope you like them!

Blue Planet 1/2

You can watch both Blue Planet series' on Netflix at the moment and they are the perfect excuse to get lost and fall in love with our oceans.  Narrated by David Attenborough, you will get to explore all 5 oceans and the 7 seas across the world.  With stunning visuals, and breathtaking facts about the world's amazing wildlife, we promise you a fascinating world you can escape into!

Wild

A film about finding yourself and nature being a part of your recovery.  Based on the true story of Cheryl Strayed, after a bad divorce and troubles in her personal life, Cheryl decides to The Pacific Crest Trail - roughly a 1,100 mile hike through the wilderness to find forgiveness and beauty in the world.

Birders

Love birds?  Birders explores the migration of a diverse number of birds who successfully traverse the US-Mexico border each year, and the bird lovers on both sides of the frontier who celebrate this journey.  Get lost in their journeys from the comfort of your sofa!

The Dawn Wall

So this isn't strictly nature.  But with nature comes a love of the outdoors and here we have one of the greatest achievements of all time.  In the breathtaking Yosemite National Park, professional climbers Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson faces their biggest challenge yet - to be the first climbers to free climb The Dawn Wall on El Capitan.  Believe us, the story will absorb you.

Our Planet

Netflix's own series, narrated by David Attenborough, takes us around the world once more to focus on all the best parts of our natural world.  Truly beautiful and breath taking the series also talks about the effect climate change is having on our natural world.
