It's time to get hands on

Volunteering, Matthew Roberts

The advice I was given when I first started volunteering still holds good.
Do not get separated from your lunch!

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Trust. Without you we would not be able to manage our nature reserves and restore Derbyshire's wild spaces, we wouldn't be able to run our charity shops effectively or carry out our important education work.

From several days a week to a few hours a month, you can choose how much time to give, and all of it is greatly appreciated.

All you need to do is fill in our volunteer form and let us know what you are interested in.

You will then be sent a confirmation email and further guidance to get you started as a volunteer. In some cases we may ask to meet you for an informal chat, during which we can discuss your expectations and availability.

We can't wait to meet you!

We love our volunteers!

Last year we gave you thousands of biscuits and hundreds of cups of tea and in return you put in 6,204 days to help us restore and protect Derbyshire’s wildlife and wild spaces and inspire thousands of people to love it as much as you do - thank you!
