The wigeon and shoveler flocks were regularly put to flight
Cormorant roost counts were carried out on the 19th when 304 birds entered the roost
There was little change in the duck numbers although Wigeon went up to 20 but Shovelers remained around 30.
16 Little Egrets were seen to leave their roost in the North Pool.
Some summer migrants still around which includes Reed Warbler.
Coots, Tufted Ducks and Mallards joining forces to escort the Badger off the Strip.
Mallards and Gadwalls are currently the commonest surface feeding ducks.
This late visit was to accommodate a Cormorant roost count in conjunction with the Nation Wildfowl Count for the month of August.
A wigeon and five mandarins were eventually on view in the North Pool.
