Wall brown butterfly on cow parsley

(C) Amy Lewis

Badgers, butterflies and balsam bashing - we're very busy!

We're protecting wildlife and wild spaces

We work on hundreds of conservation projects for local wildlife and habitats across Derbyshire.

From our nationally recongnised badger vaccination programme to smaller projects such as our work on Crich Chase Meadows near Cromford. With hundreds of conservation projects running year round there is a lot to talk about so, we've picked nine to give you an insight into what we do.

If there is a specific project you would like to know about, get in touch - we will be delighted to tell you more.  Call us on 01773 881188 or email enquiries@derbyshirewt.co.uk

Past Projects:

DerwentWISE

In September 2013 The National Lottery Heritage Fund (formally known as Heritage Lottery Fund HLF) gave the go ahead, and a huge,  £1.767 million for the Lower Derwent Valley Landscape Partnership – DerwentWISE.

DerwentWISE helped to preserve some of these important habitats and get communities and landowners more involved with their local landscape.

And we do so much more!

The Wildlife Trusts believe that people are part of nature; everything we value ultimately comes from it and everything we do impacts upon it.
