In preparation for a new sculpture trail being unveiled at Carsington Water in the spring Derbyshire Wildlife Trust need you to use your imagination.
A brand new, 8 stop, carved wood sculpture trail will be installed around the reservoir, accompanied by an enchanting children’s fairy tail trail, all crafted by local artist Andy Frost.
As part of the project, Derbyshire Wildlife Trust are inviting you to write the first line of a book that will be carved from wood by Andy.
So, let your imagination run wild for this once in a lifetime chance to have your words published in a very unusual way! Send your suggestions for the opening lines to Diane Gould at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, email dgould@derbyshirewt.co.uk by 22nd January 2018 and the winner will be able to hunt down their idea on the trail when it opens in the spring!
The sculpture trail has been funded by a grant worth more than £20,000 from the Tarmac Landfill Communities Fund through the Derbyshire Environmental Trust; a fund which helps to build communities and transform lives through awarding grants to community and environmental projects across Derbyshire.
