Wednesday 29th November 2017

We are delighted to announce that our first ever charity shop is now open in Belper.

The shop, situated at 6 King Street, was opened on Saturday 25th November by Pauline Latham, MP, and will help supportour work across Derbyshire, including helping to running 46 nature reserves, conservation work and education work.

The opening was such a success that we are already in desperate need for more stock.

Ellen Fineran, Commercial Manager at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, said:
“We are extremely excited about opening our new shop and providing the people of Belper and Derbyshire with an easy opportunity to support their local wildlife, whilst buying something lovely for themselves! We hope the shop not only offers a great range of products, pre-loved and new, but also offers a chance for people to learn a little bit about our important work for local wildlife and wild spaces at the same time.”

The shop which will be the first of many for us is open from 9.30 – 4.30 Monday – Saturday.

The opening was such a success that the store took over £700 in its first afternoon and we are already in desperate need for more stock. Anyone wishing to donate items to the shop can do so by dropping bags off at the shop during opening hours or at the Trust’s HQ in Middleton between 9-5, Mondays to Fridays.

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer at the shop can find out more by calling us on 01773 881188 or emailing
