About the event

We are really excited to invite you to help shape the future of your local area with a new opportunity at the allotments adjacent to the Peak Village nature reserve. As you may be aware, many of the plots have been vacant for some time and, speaking with a number of locals visiting the reserve, there is a real appetite to see new life injected into this space and improve access for existing allotment holders.

We're keen to reinstate areas allocated for allotments which are currently overgrown and unused, and to see them transformed into gardens and growing spaces for the benefit of the local community and wildlife. But we want your ideas of what you'd like to see and how we can realise the huge potential of the allotments and surrounding grassland and woodland

To this end, we're hosting a couple of drop-in events on site where we invite you to walk through the space and give us your thoughts and insights to help us create a vision for the future. The event will be held at the entrance to the allotments near the far end of the nature reserve.
