About the event

Looking for ways get a little wilder this holiday? Bring the family and get stuck in at Derwent Meadows. You'll be helping us with practical conservation tasks and learning how this work creates a rich mosaic of habitats in this urban wildlife haven. You'll support the health of grasslands and wildflower meadows by removing invasive brambles as well as assisting with our woodland management on site to create a healthy and diverse woodland structure.

This is a drop-in session, so join us for as long as is comfortable! All tools and safety equipment will be provided but please dress for the outdoor weather in clothes which cover your limbs and that you won't mind getting muddy! We recommend sturdy boots or wellies as the site is often wet and slippery this time of year.


Please Note: Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult and there are no toilets on site.
