Latest sightings in Derbyshire

As restrictions are slightly lifted and while you are out doing your daily exercise we have been enjoying hearing about your wildlife sightings in and around Derbyshire,

Some of the spotted species are listed below - thank you!

A pair of hen harriers in Ashford.

Lapwings, yellow hammer and a deer at The Avenue Country Park.

Grasshopper warbler calling at Willington Wetlands Reserve.

A pair of redkites soaring and searching over Midway heading towards Repton.

A mink stalking a heron at McGregors pond,

Hedgehogs in Newton, New Mills and Buxton.

Swallows in Belper.

A cuckoo in Nether Heage.

A grey heron in Repton.

On the Blackwell Trail, an orange tip butterfly, peakcock butterfly, willow warbler, black cap, buzzard, jay, kestral, swift, mallard with young, moorhen, bee, gold finches and wren!

A redkite soaring above the fields at Gorse Farm heading towards Ambergate.

A badger set in Overseal and a badger in Spondon.

A graceful redkite in Atlow.

A small tortoise shell butterfly in Heywood.

A cinnabar moth in Burton on Trent.

A muntjac deer in Ambergate.

A redkite circling in Curber.

A toad, short back legs, warty skin and (lovely) golden eye  in Baslow.

Male kestrel hovering. Grey tail and crown indicates a male. Brown in the female, Mmistle Thrush and Swallows in Erewah.
