In which the butterflies hatch

Isn’t wildlife out there to be discovered, after all?

I had been wracking my brains for a while as to how we could finish 30 Days Wild on a high. While we have no intention of finishing now, it seemed only fitting to go out with a bang.

Coming downstairs this morning my mind was made up for me; as if they knew what day it was, two of the five caterpillars we’d nurtured thus far had hatched out, and were sleepily flexing their wings for us. Just hours later a third had poked its head into the world – the ideal end to the month’s initiative. Just to make sure, my younger son and I went for a wander around the park, and felt the first drops of rain begin to fall. This month has been a wonderful one, and now we begin Every Day Wild.
