Biography:

Philippa Day started her business in 2009 after a previous career in the Space Industry in Germany. She originally trained in Fashion Design and decided to return to that as her first love after an exciting time abroad.

Philippa is greatly inspired by her surroundings - she lives in the National Forest in England and on her daily walks, loves to observe the changing nature of the trees and plants around her.

Her love of colour shines through in all her designs, and particularly when she uses devoré velvet, which she hand-dyes and prints in her studio, based in her little cottage in South Derbyshire. She has recently

developed workshops using the Japanese art of Tataki-Zomé (flower pounding) and hand-embroidery.

Philippa is a professional Member of Worcestershire Guild of Contemporary Craft and exhibits with them at the RHS Spring and Autumn Garden Shows in Malvern each year.
