About the event

We need your help to build a detailed picture of Derbyshire's biodiversity! Join us at Peak Village and become a community scientist, record your nature sightings and support vital monitoring of Derbyshire's natural health.

The 19th of September marks the start of the Great UK WaterBlitz weekend
- a community science project testing the quality of local freshwater including rivers, streams and lakes. There'll be water testing demos and kits to take away so you can get involved in your local area! 

We'll also have a range of hands-on activities and ID guides available to practice your nature ID skills around Peak Village and top tips for how to submit your sightings. This event is open to all ages with Super Spotter detective guides available for our youngest conservationists.
