Continued scrutiny of the legs of the loafing gulls produced the the presumed Norwegian ringed Great-Black-backed Gull (Black with white code JZ625) on 9th (awaiting confirmation from Norway on this one) and a new Herring Gull (orange ring with black code L26M, probably L26:M). Enquiries into this bird indicate that it was ringed as a chick on the Calf of Man from the Isle of Man on 25th June 2017. Confirmation received today that the Black-headed Gull (Yellow ring with black code T6XE) seen on 14th March 2019 was ringed in Poland on 28th May 2018 at Jez, Dabie, Lubczyna, Zachodniopomorskie, western Poland.
