Other Fundraising Ideas
There are lots of great ways in which you can help raise vital funds for Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. Here are some suggestions.
- Donation boxes - do you know of a suitable location to host a donation box? Local shops, pubs and cafes are great places to hold these.
- Cakes for Conservation - coffee mornings are a great way to get together with friends and raise money.
- Wear your Wellies to Work - or any type of sponsored event is good fun and raises awareness along with cash!
- Open Garden - do you own one of Derbyshire's most beautiful gardens? Why not share it with others on a specified day and make an entrance charge that could be donated to us?
- Nominated Charity - does your organisation have a Charity of the Year, or do they have fundraising days? Why not put the Trust forward as the charity to benefit?
- Charity Golf day - We know that golfers can be a generous bunch so why not put us forward as the charity to raise funds for? Not a golfer? You could always hold a charity match of your chosen sport.
- Sell your stuff - why not have a de-clutter and raise funds for the Trust. Jumble or car boot sales are great for this and by letting people know you are donating your profits may raise even more. A seller on Ebay? We are a registered charity on ebay so you could donate a percentage of you profits to us through this.
- A night out - Why not organise a quiz night or auction at you local pub/community centre? You could also hold a raffle or tombola on the night as an extra activity. Fundraising has never been so much fun!
- Saving Stamps - An oldy, but a goody, saving your used stamps and giving them to the Trust is one of the easiest ways for us to boost our income.
These aren't the only ways you can help us raise funds and we will help were we can with promotional materials. What we need from you is a little imagination and lots of enthusiasm.
