Education talks and training

Supporting employees with new skills and knowledge is a great way to motivate and inspire them. Education is also one of the best ways to support nature as it’s through knowledge that we can learn the significance of our actions.

Talks & Workshops

We offer a range of talks and workshops to get your employees thinking and taking action for nature. Examples include our Team Wilder programme, joining a community who are taking actions to ensure 30% of our land and sea are managed for nature by 2030. We’ve also developed a series of workshops to help with your employees' well-being and sustainability:

  1. Sustainable Christmas

In this webinar, we cover 5 Christmas crafts all aimed at increasing sustainability over the festive period and using readily available household objects. We lead participants through 2 follow-along crafts and also demonstrate a further 3 for them to do in their own time. The crafts are all easily done by children as well as adults so participants can make them at home with their families.

  1. Getting wilder

In this webinar, we cover why it is important to help pollinators and what everyone can do to help. We show participants how they can simply survey their garden or green space to find out how they can make it better for pollinators and give hints and tips on simple changes they can make. This webinar links into Team Wilder actions- Go Potty and Grow don’t Mow

  1. Connecting with Nature

Using our senses and exploring the relevance of nature in our own lives to develop a deeper connection to nature is great for our mental health and well-being. This webinar explains what nature connection is, how it has been shown to benefit us and the environment and focuses on practical ways to better connect with nature all around us. We demonstrate different activities anyone can do to take time out, relax and really notice nature.

  1. Pond in a pot

Ponds support a wide range of wildlife but in the UK we have lost a huge proportion of our ponds. Anyone can help no matter the size of their garden, windowsill or green space by creating their own pond in a pot! In this webinar we explore the creatures that are found in and around ponds, looking at samples of pond water under the microscope and discussing the variety of land-based animals that also depend on ponds. We give practical hints and tips on how to create your very own small pond and how to identify the creatures that may come to live in it.

Workshops can be adapted to your employees and delivered online, at a nature reserve or at your sites. Corporate members receive a number of free talks and a discount on further events. Up to three free talks per year, discounted rate for additional talks. Non-Member cost £350 per talk
