Local Groups
Appletree Hundred Group
Appletree Hundred Group serves an area that loosely covers Allestree, Duffield and their surroundings. Indoor meetings are held on the third Friday of the month from September to May and alternate between The Meadows Primary School in Duffield and The Woodlands Evangelical Church in Allestree.
We aim to provide a wide range of natural history topics using speakers, film shows and other events to inform and entertain. From time to time larger promotional events are organised feature celebrity speakers. A few times during the year, coach excursions are arranged to visit areas of particular wildlife interest outside Derbyshire.
All Trust members and visitors are welcome to attend our events – we pride ourselves on our warm and friendly atmosphere.

A variety of activities take place during the summer – in the past these have ranged from open gardens to visits to nearby Derbyshire Wildlife Trust reserves.
We do hope that Derbyshire Wildlife Trust members who live in our area will support us in our attempts to enthuse others about the work of the Trust. And if you haven’t yet joined the Trust, you can still come along. Our meetings are open to all.
