About us

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is a growing charity committed to achieving our vision of a Wilder Derbyshire, to learn more about how we are run and our wilder vision for the future follow this link.

We've been protecting wildlife and wild spaces in Derbyshire since 1962. Today, the political environment has changed but we are still fighting for wildlife and wild spaces.

Our core purpose is to lead Nature’s Recovery. We will be increasingly bold and imaginative but we cannot do this by ourselves. We strongly believe everyone has a role to play in Nature’s Recovery.

We work together with communities, local authorities, businesses, landowners and organisations, supporting them to play their part in Nature’s Recovery. As more people connect with wildlife we will build a growing movement

We have a variety of roles from practical conservation, people engagement, marketing, retail and more. If none of our roles are currently suitable, check out our volunteering roles and see how else you can be part of the Trust whilst helping Derbyshire's wildlife.

We are proud to be a living wage employer as we believe a hard day’s work deserves a fair day's pay
