Are you up for the Challenge?

This May bank holiday, we want you to take part in our River Challenge.

Don't worry, you don't need to be Bear Grylls to take part in this adventure!

Just take some time out out to enjoy a mile long walk anywhere along the River Derwent. It has been proven that engaging with nature improves our health and well-being, so why not spend the bank holiday immersing yourself in nature and discover more about your local river?

You can take your walk alone; with your family; or join us for one of our FREE guided family friendly walks jam packed with fun activities, but do please get out and enjoy your river this bank holiday! Download our activity booklet below.

Join us on one (or both!) of our two guided walks, each starting at 10.30 am and lasting approximately 1.5 hours. The shorter ( 0.5 mile) route is meeting at The Serpentine park in Buxton (opposite the Pavilion Gardens) and the longer (1.5 miles) route at Wye Dale car park (just off the A6). The walks will include activities such as river dipping, sensory games and natural art. Places are limited though so please do call 01773 881188 to book on.

Don’t forget to share your pictures from the challenge with us on our Facebook page!

The River Challenge is part of the Get Better With Nature project, funded by Nestle Waters UK. Find out more at www.getbetterwithnature.co.uk
