Caterpillars for Day 13 - The Baker FamilyCaterpillars for Day 13 - The Baker Family

A quiet caterpillar day

Since most of my muscles are still aching from the weekend’s activities we decided to have a very quiet day today; a few dog draining exercises out in the drizzle, followed by some time spent gazing into our pot of caterpillars.

Next stop, butterfly house!

My mum proudly presented us with the tub last Wednesday, and they were the tiniest caterpillars I’d ever seen – so small and wriggly.

Now, however, they’re very large and furry, and surely on their way to making chrysalises on the roof of their plastic den. Our next activity is to draw what we think they’ll look like once they emerge from their cocoons, although for now we can’t get enough of watching them.

Next stop, butterfly house!
