Shop Manager (full time)

Salary: £16,832 per annum

Location: Bakewell, Derbyshire

Are you an experienced retailer and driven to raise money for protecting Derbyshire’s wildlife and wild places? Do you have a passion for fashion, for spotting and setting trends, for recycling, for collectible, quirky and unique things and for helping your customers find the perfect item? Then this is the job for you.

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is opening charity stores in prime location in Bakewell and is looking for a Shop Manager for each store.   The Shop Manager  will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running and forward planning of activities in their store. Experience of providing excellent customer service, preferably in a retail setting, is essential as is leading a team of staff and volunteers.

This is a new role and there will be an opportunity to bring creativity and innovation to the job. Being organised, with excellent time management skills and the ability to multi task and manage conflicting priorities in a busy environment is key to the role. The role will be challenging and rewarding and every day will be different. Providing a Wildlife Trust a presence on the high street, the store will be our first point of contact with a whole new audience and your approach will set the tone of the Trust for many people. Building customer loyalty, promoting our aims, generating membership interest and upholding our values is of utmost importance.
