Situated in the railway station buildings in Matlock Bath, the Whistlestop Centre hosts school groups throughout the year and is also available for local groups and community use.

The Centre provides a unique learning experience with its own classroom and wildlife pond. It is within easy walking distance of the River Derwent and High Tor woods. Our experienced teaching staff provide a wide variety of practical environmental activities include pond and river dipping, owl pellet investigation and sensory earthwalks. Use the menu on the left to find out more about the different Key Stage linked activities on offer.

Book your day at the Whistlestop Centre and take part in the 'Lunchbox Challenge', a free lunchtime activity to help children think about a waste and recycling.

For more information about the centre or the activities on offer please use the enquiry form or contact Emma Wood.
