Here's where you can find out lots more about wildlife and how to get involved!

We're the biggest local charity looking after wildlife around you. We look after over 40 nature reserves - special places which we can protect from damage and development. We also repair and restore the reserves by carrying out conservation work - cutting down trees, planting trees or reedbeds, clearing away rubbish and lots of other jobs.

Our nature reserves are special places where you can see lots of different wildlife, from tiny nesting birds to amazing birds of prey, lovely wildflowers and fantastic fungi, plus animals that are struggling to survive, like water voles. Use our species explorer and habitat explorer to find out more our county's wildlife.

If you're interested in finding out more about wildlife in Derbyshire we've got lots of ways for you to get involved. You could become a member of Wildlife Watch, join in our school holiday family activities, have your own wild fun, visit us with your school or even have your birthday party with us!
