We're defending wildlife and wild spaces

We are working hard to ensure Derbyshire's wildlife and wild spaces are protected.

We are doing this by creating corridors for wildlife which we call Living Landscapes, alongside running projects for particular species and habitats that need our help.

We also restore Local Wildlife Sites (LWS), advise on local planning applications and we manage the Derbyshire Biological Records Centre.

Our bread and butter

We have three main strands to our wildlife conservation. These are monitoring and restoring Local Wildlife Sites, being the host of the Derbyshire Biological Records Centre and our work in the Planning System. Let us tell you more:

And we do so much more!

The Wildlife Trusts believe that people are part of nature; everything we value ultimately comes from it and everything we do impacts upon it.
