The Baker Family’s 30 Days Wild: Day Twenty One

A frog and a butterfly house

Today was one of those wonderful days when you don’t expect anything wild to happen, and yet there it is; walking to an appointment in town I stumbled upon a frog making its way through the cemetery.

I stumbled upon a frog making its way through the cemetery.

Cursing the fact that neither of my children were with me to share in the moment, I quickly snapped a photo and helped it into the undergrowth. I know now to be aware of everything around me as I walk, but not everybody can be so careful!

Later this afternoon we continued our random acts of wild, and rehoused the caterpillars that are now happily ensconced in their cocoons, ready to become butterflies.

The five painted ladies are now residing in a net enclosure, and the chrysalises have been wobbling about rather violently. We can’t wait until they break out in a few days’ time!
