Every Wednesday and Friday of each month, the DerwentWISE scheme carries out practical work to improve the biodiversity of local wildlife sites throughout the lower Derwent Valley.

This work includes a variety of practical conservation tasks including hedge laying, scrub clearing, tree planting and meadow creation. So if you have an interest in helping improve wildlife on your local patch join our small friendly team of passionate volunteers. This team is suitable for people of all backgrounds and can help gain vital experience for those looking to follow a career in conservation. This work is essential if we are to achieve a true living landscape for Derbyshire.

Activities take place every Friday. Lifts leave at 9.00am to be on site for 9.30am. Activities end at 3.00pm.

On Saturdays activities start at 10.00am on site with a 9.30am pick up.

All equipment and PPE is provided.
