OnTrent

The Trust is a partner in the cross-regional OnTrent Project, which aims to benefit wildlife and people living along the Trent Valley.

Among the targets for this project, OnTrent plans to:

• Encourage inland flooding in suitable areas that does not damage property but allows wildlife to thrive.
• Encourage mineral companies to restore gravel extraction sites to uses that benefit wildlife.
• Promote the wider benefits of the River Trent to communities and users nearby
