Living Landscapes Officer - Trent Valley (Part Time, 3 days per week)

Salary: £24,482 per annum for full time hours, paid pro rata for part time role

Our Trent Valley Living Landscapes team are looking for an experienced and confident project officer, who is comfortable working as part of a team and independently, to help deliver our nature restoration projects in the Trent Valley.

We’re looking for an energetic and passionate, experienced and confident project officer who likes to work independently and as part of a team to help to create and restore nature as part of the Trent Valley Living Landscape Team.

We are an organisation that is passionate about championing resilient living landscapes, inspiring people to connect with nature and defending wildlife and need a team that is ambitious and energised to deliver this for Derbyshire.

This role would give you an opportunity to work within the Trent Valley Living Landscape team, and help deliver on the ground projects at our nature reserves and within the wider landscape including habitat creation and management, visitor experience improvements and inspiring local people about wildlife through working with a wide variety of individuals and organisations.

You will need a broad background for this challenging and rewarding role. You will require experience in conservation and land management, project management and people engagement including working with volunteers and local communities. An understanding of ecology and key conservation issues in the UK and visitor experience at sites rich in wildlife are highly desirable.
