Somebody else’s wild

We did something rather similar to today’s random act of wild last year; we explored somebody else’s wild.

I find that the children and I tend to explore the same wild places over and over again, and have our favourite spots to visit. While something new always crops up, and we have amazing fun exploring such places, it’s always nice to discover something new!

They regularly see wagtails hopping about their lawn, and have a bees’ nest in their roof

Today’s visit was to the garden of dear friends of ours, just after a heavy rainfall. Droplets had gathered on the leaves of the many plants in their garden, and we had a fantastic time exploring the many aspects of their garden, and the different places where wildlife hides.

They regularly see wagtails hopping about their lawn, and have a bees’ nest in their roof – we watched the bees coming and going as we ate a BBQ tea, and relished the different smells of the flowers all around us.
