The Baker Family’s 30 Days Wild: Day Fourteen

The day it rained

Okay, so it has rained several times this month already, but today was the first real downpour we had seen for a while – we have been relatively lucky where we live, you see.

While today wasn’t our wildest it reminded us of just how powerful Mother Nature is, and how beautiful too

Accompanying the rain today was a distant, and then not-so-distant, rumbling of thunder, which was preceded each time by a flash of (underwhelming) lightening.

Toby and Alex have yet to experience a really good storm, and so we discussed what might be causing the light and sound display we were privy to – perhaps drums, or a really big lorry in the clouds?

While today wasn’t our wildest it reminded us of just how powerful Mother Nature is, and how beautiful too. After the storm the air felt clean and fresh, which it hasn’t done for a while. The air feels ready with possibility, and we intend on grabbing some soon.
