Snail spotting in a sensory garden and beyond

We have been waiting for this day for such a long time now

We have been waiting for this day for such a long time now, and wanted to make sure that we celebrated the very first day of 30 Days Wild in style. Dragging Nanny along with us, we ventured to Rosliston Forestry Centre in search of the children’s (current) favourite minibeasts; snails. Thanks to the recent rainfall we didn’t have too far to wander before we stumbled upon our first batch of snails, snuggled on a log in the sensory garden. The fresh air of Rosliston is intoxicating, and we couldn’t help but wander further, jumping in every puddle we saw. We tramped along woodland paths, across a meadow, and alongside a pond, sighting a nuthatch, toad, and squirrel as we went, as well as hearing numerous birds. Welcome to our 30 Days Wild!
